| The EUI-Net European Network on
Co-operation between University and Industry, funded by the European Commission under the
Erasmus Thematic Network scheme is organising its 2nd European Workshop during
4-5 May
2006 in the Estonian capital, Tallinn. |

| The event is devoted to “European
Models of Synergy between Teaching and Research in Higher Education” and will include papers presented in plenary sessions
on the following topics: |

1. Teaching & Training in
Research: PhD supervision. |
|

Development of highly qualified human resources by involving doctoral |
|
students in research projects; |
|

Assisting doctoral students in submitting proposals and developing |
|
research projects; |

(doctoral schools, stages in research institutes); |

| The papers will be reviewed by the
Scientific Committee and will be published in the Workshop Proceedings. A selection of the most interesting contributions will be published after the event in
a scholars' edited book by a prestigious publishing
house. |

| Prospective
authors are invited to submit already a full
paper or an extended abstract ( 2 - 4
pages ) before January 15th
2006 with a clear mentioning of the topic
from the list above, the name, the affiliation,
the e-mail address and full address of each
author as well as a contact-author. Submissions
should be done electronically either by e-mail

| |
| Papers
must be original and not yet submitted
concurrently to a journal or other conference.
The Proceedings will be published by the EUI-Net
Scientific- & Organising Committees. The
instructions for authors follow the usual
guidelines for the submission of papers for a
conference presentation and may be around six to
eight pages or more and shall be submitted in an
electronic format to the Organising Committee. |
| All
submissions will be peer-reviewed by a panel of reviewers
from the Scientific Committee. The
acceptance/rejection of the manuscripts will be
based on the results of the review. |
| In
submitting an abstract the author(s) agree/s
that, upon acceptance, he/she/they will prepare
the final manuscript in time for the inclusion
in the Workshop Proceedings and that the first
author will present the paper at the Workshop,
paying the conference fees*
if required so. |
| Authors
of accepted papers do agree to sign the form of
copyrights transfer to EUI-Net. |
