SIMPEL
IN A NUTSHELL

The
purpose of the European project SIMPEL is to identify
and to promote effective e-learning solutions and models
for Small and Medium Enterprises. On the basis of
analyses and valorisation of existing successful
projects in the European Union SIMPEL develops
guidelines and puts forward examples of innovative best
practice, in order to help improve the training
situation in those companies, which form the backbone of
the European economy, especially in terms of job
creation.
Methods
and Expected Results
Structuring
and comparing results from e-learning projects relevant
to SMEs, relating to training needs, strategies and
methods, technical requirements , formal and informal
acquisition of e-competence and qualifications, role of
users/learners.
Scenarios
and results developed in the project
ARIEL will be used to develop sustainable eLearning
models, supporting business activities of SMEs. The
development of these models will be done collaboratively
with SMEs and consultants specialised on SMEs. These
models will be based on a strategic approach to
eCompetence development. In addition, guidelines for the
implementation of these models will be elaborated and
promoted on national and European levels.
The
models will be validated in seminars with managers,
consultants and e-Learning service providers for
training and vocational education in each partner
country. After that, validated models will be
disseminated and valorised in SMEs in the partner
countries and in Europe. For valorisation, support and
cooperation of eLearning networks are sought, where the
partners are already active (e.g. D-ELAN in Germany).
In the
project, partners
from Germany, Italy, Ireland, the Netherlands and
Hungary are working together.
The
project is supported by the European Union under the
eLearning Programme from January 2007 to June 2008. |
